1. My wife likes to relax on the Balcony in the sun. Is there a better side of the ship for sunshine on the Eastbound trip?

East bound transatlantic take starboard. You will loose an hour each day as you put your watch forward each day, so you will get 5 hours less cruising than you paid for....

Starboard side will get the sunshine eastbound from N.Y. Problem is on QM2 many of the cabin balconies have metal panels under the rail and only get sun on the chairs when the sun is high.
You will find that you will be the odd one out without a tie and jacket and may be refused entry to the restaurants on anything but casual evenings (you will be travelling on a classed traditional ocean liner so why not fall in with the tradition it can't be that awful can it?) .... Neil
