Q: hi this is for all you cruisers out there! I asked for a answer to the question was it better to book a cruise with a cruise company from the states as the £ is good against the $, I was told to be careful and i would not be covered with A.B.T.A or other insurance,Well i have just done a cruise from southampton on the QM2 to new york I booked my cruise with my credit card where i am covered by the bank if any company goes bust then the money paid on my card is refunded in full! i also iquired to another insurance company and could of got cover at as little as £40.00. The best price i got for this cruise in England was £920.00, I actually paid £400.00 total with the company from the states, They even changed my price lower after i originaly paid my deposit as they were doing a special deal and only charged me $30.00 to save me $920.00 on the same cruise.Can you see a company from England doing this!I have done 12 cruises with various cruise companies and will now look to the states for my next cruises and just keep asking the companies in England to try and compete with there deals.Good Luck To You All.
