on the Q E 2 world cruise we were invited to sit at the Officers/Captains table on our first night in the dining room, we didn't ask or expect it and thought it was just for one night but it was for the full leg of the journey - we were travelling as a couple as were the other two couples who were alos invited, so it may have been because of that - I must say it was very enjoyable and the company was really good. We had occasional nights when there was no officer present - and had the table as a group of passengers only which was also good because the company was so enjoayable - I hope you manage to get an invite you will enjoy it - good luck.
