Q:
I have just booked on QM2 for Mediterranean Cruise in Sept 09. We will be celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and also my 50th birthday. It will be our first cruise and I can barely contain my excitement! We have booked Queen's class and apparently get a butler - will he do our ironing do you think?! My only disappointment was that we wanted to renew our wedding vows on board but unfortunately, it can't be done. However, I am thinking that we may be able to do it somewhere along the way i.e. Rome, Barcelona, Monte Carlo. Has anyone been able to organise anything like this. I would really welcome any ideas or suggestions. Many, many thanks.

I can see no reason why you can not renew your wedding vows on board my wife insists every time we cruise on Cunard that we do.the ship has a resident priest onboard so have a word with him ask at the pursers office they will put you in touch.

Thanks Christopher. Have you been able to do it as a single couple or has it been a "mass" renewal with other couples?

I have had both types the mass ones where pleasant about six couples’ only had to pay for the photographs’ for my silver anniversary I had a private one which was performed on the balcony of my stateroom in the Caribbean in the afternoon and in the evening we had a candlelight dinner on our balcony this was all arranged by our butler there was a fee for this. Your butler is a very useful person to have talk to him/her they have a wealth of experience to make your cruise an anniversary to remember.
