Wow! As first time cruisers it couldn't get much better. From the minute we stepped off the coach to the minute we stepped back on after it was 1st class all the way.
Had read that the check in process could be long winded but after about an hour in the waiting area we were taken to check in and shown through to our stateroom in less than 45 minutes. Room 3179, at the back, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers, did take spare hangers which came in handy! Shower was brilliant, plenty of toiletries always replaced and the air-con was a dream.
9 out of 10 days we had breakfast and lunch in the LIDO, plenty of choice and more flexible. We ate every night in the Mauretania restaurant, great choice for each course and the steaks were to die for!
Did two organised trips which we found were good value for money, can be done yourself but you would need to do your homework before you go. Very impressed with the FREE shuttle buses at each stop that took you to the centres, ran each way every 15 mins.
More than impressed with the price of drinks onboard, as cheap as local pub, even the wines were well priced. Our final account was a lot less than expected.
Overall we have nothing but praise and are now cruise converts, cant wait til next time
