Enjoyable QE2 "party" cruise

QE2 cross channel hop - very enjoyable. Embarkation/disembarkation excetionally smooth and swift. First and last time on the grand old lady - sailed very well. In spite of cabins and some public areas a bit "tired" the ship is an icon and a very majestic one. Princess Grill food and service very good, albeit tables a bit "crammed" and the air-conditioning in the evening was non existant. Lots of families on this mini cruise but not bothered too much by their children. The evening entertainment was mixed. Average production shows performed on an undersize stage, but excellent Elton John impersonator. A bit difficult to orientate oneself on board - maps/guides inside the lifts would have helped. Overall though an umissable experience.

Well luckily I am on the October 5 day jaunt. She can be as tired as she likes for me. I love her XX Cried my eyes out coming out of Rotterdam. Where else could you have experienced that emotion. Good bye Elizabeth and welcome Victoria, may the White Star service never change.

If you'd been sold and were 40 years old and done alot of travelling about no doubt your decor would be a bit "tired"! Didn't you think it was good that there were more families on this cruise? - think what they can tell their grandchildren in years to come! I agree about the entertainment, Elton John saved the day! We thought it was easier to find your way about on the QE2, although other people said it was difficult. Glad you said it was 'an unmissable experience' - well you won't be able to do it again, that's for sure!
