Growing out of seasickness as we get older!

When I was younger I was always seasick eventhough we were treated like a VIP seated at the Captain's table in those Strait Steamship boats in the Far East, which were cargo freighters with a few cabins for travellers like us. The only European is perhaps the Captain and for that reason we were at his table, eventhough he was very much our senior but I guess he must be dying to meet another white men regardless of age. Unfortunately I always had to excuse myself after a few bites of food to go back to my cabin to throw up. And so we decided to put travel by sea aside.
Now that my husband retired a few years ago, we started to travel to the four corners of the World. Then we said : Why not try travelling by boat again? And so we embarked on a Nile Cruise, river water should be calm and it was. Then we ventured further: Why not on the Mediterranea sea? and we got on the QE2 and then the Island Cruise always mentioning my <<seasickness>> when booking and were always assigned a Mid Ship cabin. And on each cruise we had a ball of a time.
Island Cruise had a team of talented "jack of all trades". All Managers are singers, dancers, comedians and what have you. The dancers and others also have different roles during the day time. They provided just as good or even better entertainment as other ship...Bravo!
Now my big Test: the OCEAN with Celebrity Constellation sailing on the 9th of September. 14 days cruise and Atlantic crossing to New York. This time not at Mid Ship but at Aft (stern). Well will tell you all about it when we get back. If I am not sick like a dog I should advise everyone who suffers from seasickness when young not to dispair because it looks like we probably grow out of it when we get older!!!
Fingers crossed for me.

Quality of Food4
Smoked salmon at Breakfast was just perfect on QE2.
Entertainment4
All performances on Island Cruise were very good on a stage bigger than QE2, eventhough without live band, accoustic was good. Xylophone player for the whole show is just too much. Mixed performance in a show is better (QE2)

Most of the Restaurant staff treated us very well on all cruises,

Onboard Activities3
So many that we were exhausted (not a complain). Only both casino are "minable" (below par) i.e. QE2 & Island Cruise.
