We booked a Queens Grill suite and we were looking forward to an holiday of a lifetime. We traveled in comfort to the port arrived on time ( 2pm )but were dissmaed to see a long line of fellow passingers waiting to board. We waited and waited in line and finaly boarded at 4.30pm. There was no seperate line for grill passangers and for a while we wondered why we were paying so much more that many other. We were eventualy directed, rather than takento our suite .
However things got a little better after that. The suite was as we expected. It was spacious, comfortable with plenty of room for our clothe and lots of little extas.
The qeens grill was a plesant room but the food was not very imaganative, though wll cooked and the service was better than good.
Activatis on the ship were interesting and vared for the short 6day crossing though we were dissipointed by the shows in the main theater.
We enjoyed the experiance but we wonder if it was realy worth the signifcant additional mony for Qeens Grill.

For someone so pinickity of every thing, perhaps a spell check would help the appalling spelling. We last travelled eastbound having booked Princess Grill, on arrival at the berth there was a queue to board but one question to a member of the staff pointed us to the Grill check in. I fail to see how anyone can call the Grills menu not very imaginative, at lunch we were shown the dinner menu and given the option to ask for any special request and they would prepare it if the had it on board.

CUNARD LIVE IN A FANTASY WORLD OF PAST GLORIES. THEY NEED TO GET INTO THE REAL WORLD - WITH THE HUGE NUMBER OF SHIPS/COMPETITION OUT THERE, THE CREDIT CRUNCH AND THE FUEL CRISIS - WATCH THIS SPACE AS FAR AS THEIR PROFITS/LOSSES ARE CONCERNED - CUNARD- TAKE NOTE, HISTORY SHOWS YOU EVENTUALLY RUN OUT OF CUSTOMERS IF YOU TREAT THEM LIKE IDIOTS!!! ( Ref: MR G. RATNER !!!! )

Sorry to hear you thought you were expected to wait in a line with the other passengers cause you paid more but as a Grill's passenger you get priority embarkation and are pointed to the correct area usually as you walk through the door of the arrivals hall. In the absence of the cunard host, there is clear signage. Looks like you missed ou

We travelled on the QM2 on the Carribean trip in May, and found the same about the shows - very disappointing. Cunard is trading on its past reputation and the goodwill of some of the staff. We were apalling let down over a mistake made by Cunard reservations which meant our accomodation was totally unsuitable and not at all what we booked. The reaction from the QM2 "Guest Purser" - to tell us there was nothing they would do to help, and to cahrge us almost £100 for a phone call to Cunard shoreside!!! We would NEVER put ourselves through such a horrible experience again. Cunard don't deserve to trade when they can let down thier customers so badly and make no effort at all to put things right - they have even refused to take our complaint seriously now we are home. How they expect to survive in such a competitive environment is beyond me - none of our friends will tough them with a bargepole after hearing what happened to us

I am rather surprised at the comments unless things have changed since I last went Queens Grill, during 2007. Firsty there was a specific boarding proceedure for Queens Grill passengers (enterance on the far left at Southampton) which ensured, you immediately were boarded. Equally your luggage was given priority and ours was in our cabin within minutes. As for the Queens Grill restaurant it was 5 star cuisine and the chef was on hand to cook what you wanted if the recommended dishes on both the a la carte or table d'hote were not to your taste. You must give me the name of the Michelin star restaurant you visit each night in Leeds, as if you find the QM2 fare unimaginative and uninspiring you must eat like kings - or was it the fish and chips, tripe and yorkshire pudding you missed?? - only joking, honest!!
