Embarkation went smootly as possible and within five minutes of entering the QE2 Terminal, we were on board Queen Victoria.
At the gangway staff were waiting to greet us aboard the newest addition to the Cunard fleet and we found our stateroom within 10 minutes.
The room (5100) was very spacious, lots of clothes space, comfortable beds, good view out of our balcony which was portside so we mostly got lovely views of the places we visited on the ship.
My son was greeted by the kids director when we were boarding the ship, who said he would come and give my son Benedict a tour around the ship.
Our restaurant The Princess Grill was very nice, all the staff were very friendly and the Head Waiter, Aykut spoke to Ben in spanish as he is learning that at school.
Samantha and Lockesh, our waiters were always smiling, Joseph the Somellier was very friendly, Aykut and Luca were always there and coming around making sure everything was alright.
The Ports of call were wonderful (Naples was a real let down, due to all the rubbish everywhere and crossing 6 lanes of cars and buses without lights!)
In Malta, you probably heard about the incident when we were berthing up at the dock, the stern hit the quay which caused the boat to jolt a bit.
When we came back from our tour of Malta, the captain made an announcement telling us what had happened, and that we would have to remain in the port of Valletta overnight, which meant our scheduled call to Tunisa the next day would be cancelled.
Everyone got $200 dollars compensation each and we got a full day in Gibratar instead of a few hours.
My husband enjoyed the cruise as it was his 50th Birthday and everyone onboard wished him a Happy Birthday.
Benedict loved his second Cunard cruise. He got to have a backstage tour of the Royal Court Theatre and with 2 other kids got to be the first children on the Bridge of Queen Victoria ever!
I enjoyed it very much aswell (alot of people said that they prefered the QE2) but everyone was always happy and smiling.
The shows were very good and the entertainment was too.
I hope to sail aboard Queen Victoria in the near future.
